Getting set up
RouteRooster is designed so a solo operator can go from signup to a live booking page in about 15 minutes. Follow these steps in order.
1. Create your account
Sign up, then complete the onboarding wizard: business name, booking URL slug, working hours, and service-area zip codes. The slug becomes your public link — e.g. /book/your-business.
2. Add services
Under Services, add each job type you offer (name, duration, display price). Clients pick a service when booking. You need at least one active service before appointments can be scheduled.
3. Confirm your service area
Under Settings, verify your zip codes, max drive between jobs, and buffer time. The engine simulates your full day for each candidate slot and only shows clients times where the route still fits within those limits.
4. Share your booking link
Copy the link from your dashboard header or overview checklist. Add it to your website, Google Business profile, Instagram bio, and text it to clients. Use the QR code on your truck or business cards.
5. Test a booking
Open your booking link in a private browser window, pick a service, enter a test address in your service area, and complete a booking with SMS opt-in checked. You should see the appointment on your schedule and receive a confirmation text if you opted in to SMS.
