Overview
RouteRooster ("we," "us") provides scheduling and customer management software for mobile service businesses. This policy describes how information is collected and used when you book an appointment through a business that uses RouteRooster, including when you opt in to text messages.
Information we collect
When you book online, we may collect:
- Name and phone number
- Email address (if you provide one)
- Service address and zip code
- Appointment date, time, and service selected
- SMS opt-in choice and timestamp (if you opt in)
The business you book with is the service provider responsible for your appointment. RouteRooster processes this information on their behalf as their technology provider.
How we use SMS
If you opt in on the booking form, you may receive automated appointment-related text messages from the business you booked, such as:
- Booking confirmation
- Appointment reminders
- Day-of "on my way" notifications
- Occasional rebook reminders with a link to schedule again
Message frequency varies based on your appointments; typically 2–4 messages per appointment, plus an optional rebook message weeks later. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
SMS is optional. You are not required to opt in to complete a booking.
For a full description of how consent is collected, see our SMS Messaging & Consent page.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:
- The business you booked with (your service provider)
- Service providers that help us run RouteRooster, such as Twilio for SMS delivery and Supabase for secure data storage
We do not sell your personal information.
No mobile information or SMS consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data retention and security
We retain appointment and contact information while the business maintains an active account and as needed for scheduling, SMS logs, and legal compliance. We use industry-standard hosting and access controls to protect data.
