SMS reminders & compliance

RouteRooster sends automated texts to reduce no-shows and bring clients back. TCPA compliance is built in — but you must register your business number for production delivery.

Messages we send

  • Booking received — immediately after an online booking
  • 24-hour reminder — asks client to reply C, confirm, or yes
  • 2-hour on my way — day-of heads-up before you arrive
  • Rebook nudge — weeks after a completed job, with a booking link

Client opt-in

The booking form includes an optional SMS opt-in checkbox (unchecked by default) with consent language. We store the opt-in on the client record. Only opted-in clients receive any automated texts — confirmations, reminders, and rebook nudges.

STOP and START

If a client texts STOP, we opt them out automatically. They can text START to re-subscribe. You can view SMS history per client in the dashboard.

Confirm replies

Clients can confirm by replying C, confirm, or yes. The appointment status updates to confirmed in your schedule.

Carrier registration (production)

RouteRooster sends SMS from a platform-registered number on your behalf. Carrier compliance (A2P 10DLC) is handled at the platform level — you do not need to register or configure a Twilio number yourself.

Resend confirmation

On the schedule, open a pending appointment and use Resend confirmation to manually send the 24-hour reminder template.
